About Us

I am a single mother raising 2 boys as well as working full-time. My oldest son is an active sports player and my youngest one well........he's our Haygen Baby. Through out this blog there will be a lot of humor, jokes and griping. I will write about the good, the bad and usually when things are bad, they are VERY BAD. Keep in mind that this is our experience and each child with autism or special needs are never the same. I am no expert on any of this but I am a Mother. Some of my posts may be funny, sad, inspiring, educational or maybe informational you just never know but one thing for sure is I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm simply writing about our lives and how special needs or autism has affected it. Writing about our experience is therapeutic for me.

Haygen (aka Bad Boy, Haygen Baby, Booger, Little Man and list goes on and on) is 7 years old, non-verbal and has not been diagnosed with Autism. He has characteristics of everything but his autism characteristics stand out more than the others. His therapist work with him as autistic and we do at home as well. He is not potty trained and that is a big issue because I have no idea where to even begin or how to attempt to start trying. But I refuse to give up.

Zan is 11 years old and very active. He is my little baseball player and I enjoy watching him play. When baseball season ends it makes me sad and I can't wait until the next season comes around. Zan and I have a very special bond and I absolutely would not know what to do if I didn't have him. He has amazed me everyday since our journey began and he still does. He keeps me going.
